My 2009 Christmas Pick! |

Caricaturist Mick Joffe posed for
this shot. I used photoshop to
give the pencil like drawing and
other tools to distort his normal
facial shape thus turning the
tables on him!

I have chosen to put together a few photos for your enjoyment that
I, myself would class them as some of my favourite photos. They are
of people, places, little creatures and wide open spaces.
It never ceases to amaze me the beauty of nature in all things. I
know the eye sees everything but the brain only recognizes 10% of
what our eyes see. Taking a photograph enables me to see the things
that my brain misses long after my eyes have captured the scene.
Looking through the viewfinder of a camera makes you very aware of
the beauty even in the little things. I hope you enjoy looking at
then as much as I enjoyed taking them.
I like to experiment with some of the effects in
photoshop to give my photos a 'fine art' finish.
I want to wish everyone of you a very happy Christmas
and a great new 2010.
Thank you for your support in 2009.

Little frogs are a delight to find and photograph. During
my search for these little creatures
I have actually been privileged to find some
'thought-to-be-extinct' frogs.

These beautiful King Parrots are just magnificent and I was lucky enough
to capture these shots just a few metres from
My front door!

This butterfly caught my attention as I wondered through a mangrove

I was photographing on a beach on the NSW Central Coast one day when
this Pelican came right up to me and tried to
look into my camera...So I shot him with stunning effect!

All of Australia's wildflowers are stunning but no more than this
Emerald Green Kangaroo Paw.

Getting close and personal with the beautiful Sunflower!

This Bonsai was in the Japanese Gardens at Darling Harbour, Sydney.

I enjoy taking photos of people doing different things. These are a few
of my favourite.

Jack Russell puppies doing what Jack Russell's do best...take over!

Hornsby NSW Mall West in a beautiful Autumn Afternoon.

I called this photo 'left behind'. It didn't seem fair that the grass
finally claimed this once beautiful motor car.

'Coronation Street' (Hornsby NSW)

Nature at its best...Jenolan Caves NSW.

The above photos are of Jyndabine and it's beautiful lakes, snowy
mountains and sunsets.

The Australian bush is a magical place and I love to wonder through it
to take in the majestic views.

The Sydney Opera House
It is one of the great iconic buildings of the 20th century, an image of
great beauty that has become
known throughout the world – a symbol for not only a city, but a whole
country and continent.
The opera House was the product of a design competition launched by NSW
in 1955.
The winner, announced in 1957, was
Jørn Utzon, a Danish architect.

It takes
a lot of imagination to be a good photographer. You need
less imagination to be a painter because you can invent
things. But in photography everything is so ordinary; it
takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the
extraordinary.
